New Year, New to KittyBea!

Bea's Beading By the Sea Florida Hand-Dyed Yarn Knitting The Knitting Barber Yarn

Sayonara to 2021! Happy New Year to my family, friends, and followers! 🎉🎉🎉

May the New Year be prosperous to you in health and wealth.

Who doesn’t love a fresh start? I’m working on something new, Kitty's Faves. These are items I personally use (and love) and they are now conveniently found on their own page on the KittyBea website. There will be products added as I find new loves. This is not intended to be a full notions or needles selection. Kitty's Faves is simply that, those few and far between products that I enjoy using and make my knitting easier: Kitty's Faves

The first product I’m highlighting is The Knitting Barber Cords. If you make garments or have a need to put stitches on hold, these cords are genius! I find metal stitch holders cumbersome, so my go-to was always a piece of thin cotton or linen for use as scrap yarn. This is especially not ideal for sleeve stitches (top-down knitting). I was always struggling to find those edge stitches, buried into the scrap yarn. The Knitting Barber Cords are a game-changer! You can easily slide your sts on and off the silicone cords- the sts stay pristine without losing their slack or shape. They work for any scenario that require placing sts on hold. The Cords are sold as a set of three cables (1 - 60", 2 - 30") in a tin box. I currently have 11 colors available, including light and neon colors that make it even easier to see stitches on them.

 In other news...

   - Bea and I have started some simple beading projects and she decided she would like to make stitch markers to earn some money. We are currently testing different techniques and getting our supplies in order. Look for our Bea's Beading items to hit the KittyBea website in a few weeks. We are on IG, @beasbeading.

   - KittyBea, by the Sea will have exciting new colorways and bases with pattern suggestions coming soon! I'm currently working on a pattern re-release using one of my new bases. The pattern for Abbe Kids Pullover is nearly ready, so look for that soon. It includes 8 sizes: 6/12months - 14/16 years and uses KittyBea Captiva.

   - A trunk show of my design samples will be headed to Knit or Knot Yarns in Jupiter in mid-late January. If you're ever on the East Coast of Florida, check out this fabulous shop! I loved working with Alane to dye her first Exclusive Colorway, Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, on three bases: St Armands, Crescent, and Turtle.

I understand the past couple years have really been a doozie...for everyone. I'm looking forward to new beginnings and new opportunities with our favorite lifeline, Knitting.

And one of these days, I might actually get another newsletter put together.

Hey, it could happen.

Cheers!

Cat
