Notes

This pattern, as written, uses 4 colors. You can easily adjust to incorporate more, using the given yardages .
Take the time to knit a swatch and wet-block it. I understand an exact finished size may not be super important, but its possible you will run out of yarn before finishing repeats in the pattern. Swatching can help prevent a super fun game called,Yarn Chicken. This is a very straight-forward pattern. Every section starts on a RS row, unless otherwise stated. The edge/border is incorporated into the design and the same 4 rows are repeated throughout (except where a final color change happens). In this design, always slip sts purlwise.

About Bettye
Bettye Banks is a very special person to many of us in the Sarasota community. Bettye moved here in 1952, was a beloved teacher, and lived on Siesta Key for decades with her husband, Bill (a high school principal). I met Bettye many years ago at A Good Yarn in Sarasota. She was always the first one to greet new and old friends from the knitting table. You’ve never met a more joyful and positive individual. At least a year ago, Bettye started asking for a beach fade yarn set, so she could make a blanket for one of her daughters. She wanted me to include  “all the colors in the sea” and I’m very pleased with the result.
