Captiva: Cotton DK Yarn | Hand-Dyed Skeins | KittyBea by the Sea
KittyBea by the Sea: Captiva
KittyBea, by the Sea is a new Collection of coastal inspired colorways. Inspiration is taken from scenic beaches, coastal landmarks, and local wildlife- including gorgeous shells found whilst beachcombing. The first location of inspiration is (naturally): Florida!
When I decided to hand-dye cotton, my Captiva base is exactly what I was looking for in a cotton yarn. Captiva has a wrap, which allows it to hold its shape, provides an interesting texture, and has lovely stitch definition. It's soft, solid and has a little tooth. Its perfect for a beach sweater, baby items, and accessories. This yarn was used in KittyBea's Abbe Pullover and Abbe Kids Pullover knitting patterns.

Description of Colorways
The Keys: Inspired by the gorgeous water in The Florida Keys, this tonally variegated colorway is the perfect blend of turquoise, green, and everything in between.
Deep Sea Fishing: Deeper teals and blue shades mixed with lighter areas. Like others in this series, its tonally variegated.
Fire Sunset: Like those impressive fire sunsets, bold variations of coral, orange, and dusty rose, with some gold.
Queen Conch: Pools of ecru, sand, pink, and peach. Reminiscent of the beautiful Queen Conch shell.
Sand & Sea: Washes of ecru and sand with light to more concentrated turquoise areas.
Sea Fan: Light grays with areas of lilac and lavender.
Sandcastle: Washes of sand and ecru throughout.
Waves: Very dynamic and variegated aqua, blue and sometimes almost bare. Like waves, this colorway gives the impression of movement.
